Contemporary Printmaking
About
Helen Minns is an artist printmaker interested in contemporary approaches to abstraction. Meaning is often unravelled through the making process.
Drawing upon different disciplines of textiles, painting and printmaking, her work meditates on a recurring interest in opposing senses - control and play, materiality and illusion, distance and closeness, figuration and abstraction.
Helen has a BA Textiles from Central St Martins and an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell, where she won the East London Printmakers award for excellence in printmaking and was shortlisted for the Clifford Chance Postgraduate Printmaking Prize. She works from studios in Woolwich and teaches Art and Textiles in London.
